ProfWork 4.0

ProfWork 4.0 starts with shift to Dreamweaver CS4 and prepares for sabbatical. Attached is WebWorks 3.0, defined below.

WebWorks 3.0

Goal: World Sustainability web site up for spring offering, so big push in January. The outcome will not only become my signature WSY web site (WebWorks 3.0) but the next advance in my technical skills (ProfWork 4.0). The spring and summer phases are listed below, then the sabbatical project.

1. WSY M night, sans S&G, Edelstein: build 0.1, minimal RAD.
2. Integrate ENST209 and draft of book into World Sustainability web site.
3. Create style for home page and subsidiary pages along GUI lines around CSS and div.

Sabbatical extends to mid-January, 2011:

1. RAD build into two phases of html: project management with mmaps and substance (form and content). This is long term venture but starts with January 2010 course/site prep, above.
2. Identify niche for WSY site, using models such as Global Issues, Earth Policy Institute.

Technical advances:

1. Dreamweaver and html. Anchors.
2. CSS
3. AJAX, such as Spry
4. Smartdraw graphics

Tasks

1. Build binders.
2. Table for sites like WSY. These provide models and guidance. Learn tables in DW.
3. Gather and assemble all maps, notes, bookmarks, books, etc. This big task accesses immense but thematic content. Organize it my way.
4. Learn Dreamweaver, CSS, and AJAX.
